Not sure if it can be done here but I've had to create similar forms and scripts to force consistency in tasks such as job folder naming or order entry. This helps eliminate a good amount of inevitable human error.
In all fairness, Brandon has done just that with a "cut and paste" option here: http://forum.talkingmachine.info/viewto ... 603#p81603

Posting in Yankee Trader is not hard. The rules are clear and simple. I fail to see a problem and am extremely grateful to those who take the time to run this board for us.

I realize that by nature of being The Talking Machine Forum's sole Admin & Moderator, there are going to be at least a few people who don't like me (and believe me, it's no secret who you are). It's a proven fact that online communities with no rules or direction will fail. If this site was a dumping ground for indecipherable posts, arguments between members, and spam, how many of you would come back to check it each day? I think we are doing pretty well for ourselves here, and I am thankful for every member here. Even those of you who constantly challenge me and talk about me behind my back (I've been forwarded some pretty interesting emails lately...)

To those of you who have expressed your gratitude, I am happy to be of service and I appreciate your support.

To those of you who have expressed disagreement with our community rules or how I manage the site, I'd be happy to provide you with instructions on how to install a copy of the phpBB software on your very own server and domain name.

Yes, I know, and he has provided excellent specific guidelines and examples to follow.

This scenario just reminded me of issues we've encountered over many years with order entry at the company I work for. We could never really achieve consistency in order entry, even with very specific procedures, until we focused on customizing our electronic ERP system in such a way that users were presented with specific choices leading to specific outcomes or sets of instructions, basically building the procedures into the system. We found with this approach less mistakes in order entry, less mistakes in production due to confusing or inaccurate instructions, and new employees could be trained in less time. I understand this is more complex than writing a simple forum topic but just a thought as I'm generally in the habit of identifying areas where technology might be of help.

I love this forum and am also extremely appreciative of all that Brandon does to maintain it. The bashing is way out of line and completely disrepectful. Sorry you have to endure this Brandon, but thanks for all your hard work!

All I can say is I started this hobby about 3 years ago . With 10 machines now and hours of scratching my head if it wasn't for Brandon and all you guys on the tmf I would have given up and have never had the good times fixing and having phonograph Fridays with my family. Thank you Brandon for your hard work this forum rocks
