HMV re-enterant models Instruction Booklet

Post by Swing Band Heaven »

A while ago now there was discussion about how much oil to put into an oil bath motor and so I posted some old photos of an instruction booklet which mentioned this. They were only poor quality photos but today I have come across the booklet so I have done some better quality scans which I have posted below. The dimensions of the booklet are 12.5cm by 18.5cm. Those of you that asked me for a copy of these I will email you the files.

If anyone else would like JPEG files of this booklet emailed to them please drop me a PM.

Bottom of page 10 is as detailed as it gets unfortunately - but how much oil was in the canister they supplied? If I recall correctly there was discussion about this point when I posted this booklet previously. On page 11 it does mention (under the "third" point) what to look for when there is sufficient oil in the sump but how helpful any of this is.....I'll leave that up to those of you who have this type of motor.
