Swedish Pathé w. 3 horns

Post by snallast »

Just sharing a picture I came across in a museum in the provinces, from a glass plate. They had no further information except it was photographed in the local studio (which closed 1931) Probably someone was proud of his or her creation and wanted it really well photographed!

A German machine with the same horn supports made $6,000 in 2012 ( different horns )

A lot of German machines for public places had extravagant horns, probably an attention getter- and in a very large room it could distribute the sound more widely

Yes wow, I'd seen reproductions in the fleamarkets in Budapest in the 1990'ies, but thought they were all fantasy creations /quite good actually some of them, had no camera at the time sadly/ maybe I can hunt this machine down it might still be in the area. Do you think Pathé made them like this? The soundbox looks hill´n dale Pathé?
