Looking for a Record Hold Down for early Gramophone

Post by mattrx »

I received a machine from Great Britain today, referenced here: http://forum.talkingmachine.info/viewto ... =2&t=37607

It is missing the record hold down, and I'm hoping someone can point me in the direction of a replacement. Further, if anyone can help me with information about the reproducer - "Scala Junior" it would be appreciated!

Thank you!

Matt

Hi there,
I am certainly no expert so I may have misunderstood which part you need and the one I saw on ebay yesterday may be entirely inappropriate for your machine. I just thought I would mention it just on case it is something relevant.

Here it is:

Thank you. I took a look at the one you referenced, but I cannot determine whether it is a reproduction, or an original. The seller gives little description and makes no statements either way. I'd like to know the proper diameter of a record hold down for this model before purchasing either an original or a reproduction. I'm not opposed to a reproduction, provided it has the correct dimensions for my machine.
