This postcard shows an early view of the Hayes factory. It was never sent, so with no postmark I cannot date it.
If I had to take a guess I would say pre-1914.
The HMV Works at Hayes.

Indeed.
I have an album of original photos taken at Hayes during the 1910-30 period and a large presentation photo showing the staff lined up outside the HMV Gun Press and Cartridge Department in 1914. When I get around to unpacking everything from my recent house move I'll add them here.

Wow ! Absolutely wonderful early photograph showing where the amazing HMV gramophones were actually made !
I notice that it seems to be wnter as there are no leaves on the trees but quite a few of the windows in the main building are open. So maybe it is very hot (or smokey) in there ?
Thanks so much for showing such an important, historical photograph !

Good grief, what an historically intersting, but at the same time lousy picture... I can't believe the photographer framed such huge building blocked by a telegraph pole and a tree, and with that ugly wasteland as "close up"...
Well, since it's too late to keep that telegraph pole off the frame, it's interesting to note how many lines it carried, before multiplexing became fully developed...
