While I agree that the CLPGS Powick fair is good and worth the trip I try not to miss the NVCF as well. True, the early entry fee of £25 is a bit steep but there was no shortage of people in the early queue so it doesn't turn everyone off. Also true the fair isn't phonograph focussed, but to me this is part of the fun. The boxes of bits under the stalls provide all sorts of indispensable 'be useful one day' treasure and the searching for these is part of the fun. The food is staple and great if you aren't too worried about the odd kilo of cholesterol.

I wouldn't miss either of these fairs. They offer a good way to enjoy a day and meet like minded people and I hope they continue. We don't have many of this type of event in the UK so use it or lose it, as they say.
