Re: Carrying an HMV on a bicycle?

I am so glad this fairly trivial sounding question (which is not at all trivial to me) has prompted such practical suggestions and an interesting discussion of jazz culture in 1930s Germany and Italy.

I am sure many people know that Mussolini's son (Romano) was a capable jazz pianist. He died in 2006 and his obituary in the Telegraph indicates that jazz music was officially banned in the Mussolini household, so he had to find an officer in the German army to teach him. The article is here: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/obituar ... olini.html

As for the bicycle: I am inclined towards the idea of building a wooden box on the pannier rack and will give it some more thought. I will also investigate large panniers to see if something like the Brompton bag can accommodate the HMV 102.

Thanks you everyone for your contributions.
