I never saw anything like this before. It looks like a Columbia Vivetonal reproducer. Maybe that will work.

That does looks a foreign copy of a Columbia sound box. There are Dog & Baby needle tins which are a feint imitation along the lines of the HMV/Victor Nipper trademark, which also have a foreign look, possibly Japanese.
