Spot the difference ...

Post by poodling around »

I noticed that the HMV 'logo' changed from the HMV 101 when compared to the HMV 102.

The changes are kind of subtle though.

For example, the 'Quotation / speech' marks surrounding the His Master's Voice writing at the top are reversed - in terms of which bits go up and which go down. Is this a revised grammatical thing I wonder ? Also, the actual record player has subtle alterations. The dog also seems to be at a different angle. The 'full stop' has been moved from after the L to after the d in 'ltd'.

I can't help but wonder about this.

The red photo is the HMV 101 and the black photo the HMV 102.

Thank you for any comments / information about this.
