Shopping for a gramophone in 1907

Post by epigramophone »

The Army and Navy Co-Operative Society Ltd was formed in 1871 by a group of Army and Navy officers to supply it's members, who were entitled to share in the profits, with a large range of manufactured goods. The company was taken over by the House of Fraser in 1973.

Here is the gramophone section of their 1907 catalogue :

I'll take one Melba Gramophone with a Melba soundbox and the brass flower horn.
I'll also take one Melba pedestal if you have one in stock, plus two copies of each operatic G&T record in your catalog (one for playing, the other for archiving.)

Which method of payment do you prefer?

Hahaha!

Great post :)
