It's not terribly important what size the ball is. As long as it fits in the hole, but is not so large that it pushes the spindle shaft out of the motor plate. I would suggest measuring the diameter of the spindle shaft, (where it fits in the motor plate), and trying a ball that's half that size.

I found some old ball bearings lying around but they were to big to even fit in the little hole. Luckily, the user ”Soundgen” is very kind and he is sending a spare ball bearing to me. Hopefully, everything will work as planned when i put the ball in the motor. :D :D
