No. 8 but no other maker mark etc.

It went under the Maestrophonic brand. It is swiss made.

Oh, that is very good to hear - except it is missing the needle screw so it may be difficult to play anything sadly.

I make my own bamboo needles though so if I make one extra wide perhaps it will work ...

yes but it is a Decca 8 as it has no badging ! And Decca front panel

these have Maestrophonic front and badging

Decca never made their own soundboxes. Even those bearing the Decca name were bought in from other manufacturers. The No.8 was made by Paillard.

After WW2 Decca acquired the rights to the excellent Meltrope soundbox, which was then badged as a Decca and fitted to many of their post war portables.
