I'm TELLING you check inside it for that crank when it gets here. I found half a Brunswick tonearm in a Brunswick missing half its tonearm, and a crank in a 2-65 that was missing a crank, and a notepad and a Stevie Wonder 45 in a Victrola upright that really didn't need a notepad or a 45 record anyway.
Well they had the crank handle the whole time! I have it 99% completely restored! BUT...governor spring was broken! So I am awaiting a new set of springs and bam she will be done! Thanks for the info!!
How lucky! How did restoring the damaged wood on the front go?
I still have to get that completed. For now I colored black along with the other worn areas. Blends right in and looks pretty good! I also secured all of the loose leather ends on all the edges.

I bet the broken governor is why it's in such nice shape. It probably conked out and they just stored it. This thing ought to run fine.

Are you going to rebuild the reproducer?
Yep the governor springs were a wreck! All were broken or cracked on ends. 2 were homemade and wrong width. One original. Im getting 2 sets of 3 made. I did however play it when I first got it and it sounded great for 20 secs haha. The reproducer looks like it was rebuild, or barely used! The diaphragm gaskets are soft.

When you removed the motor board, you may have been fortunate enough to find some excess case covering inside. This can be carefully cut out to patch up the missing area on the front.

Great sound and a beautifully preserved phonograph!

But do you need a magnifying glass to see that tiny little machine? That thing isn't much bigger than some of the small typewriter cases.

Don't let the size fool ya! Thank you for the compliment though! I just love the size and sound. Gonna be great to travel with.
