This machine turned up in Ontario Canada and is unlike any Columbia machines we would typically find here. It is one of the prettiest Columbia Disc Graphophone machines I have ever seen. The reproducer suggests it is from Europe. Can someone please identify a model number and year of production.
Thank you for your assistance.

I can't help with your questions but it's certainly a lovely machine. Jerry B.

Thanks Jerry.
It sure is pretty. This is a machine that will be sold at an upcoming Canadian Antique Phonograph Society (CAPS) meeting and auction.
One of our club members has sent it to me, I am the club president and auction manager, to sell at the club auction. I would like to be able to say a little about it

It is a UK Columbia. If it has a 10 inch turntable and a double spring motor it is a No.5, but if it has a 12 inch turntable and a triple spring motor it is a No.8.

The images below are from the 1913/14 catalogue, and although they show the machines with wood horns, nickel plated horns were also used by Columbia at that time. There is no reason to doubt that the horn on your machine is the original.

Thank you for the information. Our gramophone is the smaller No. 5 Model, soon to become a special machine in someone's collection.

Beautiful machine. Interesting that the trim ring is cut.
