The HMV130 would be a good starter machine, but what does the seller mean by "the needle has a tendency to get stuck"? If the machine causes the record to stick during play, there is a problem.
That would suggest there is a problem with the tone arm not moving freely.

Not being familiar with HMV machines, I'm not certain how easy (or difficult) this is to repair.
