Horn gramophone with blue horn, repainted or not?

Post by nostalgia »

I decided to post photos of this horn gramophone, since I really like the look of the horn (and also the wooden case), somehow blue horns are very attractive to me, and I also not yet have a horn gramophone with a blue horn.
I would like opinions on this gramophone. As I see it, it loooks genuine, but I may of course be wrong.
I also would love some opinions about if the horn is repainted or not, as you see it?
Thanks a lot in advance.

I think I see rust pitting at the small end of the horn under the paint, and the paint looks too glossy and undamaged. I think it has been repainted, but a good job. I also think the horn elbow has been painted with metallic paint.
