Turntable is now off and very informative.
It states a manufacture dat of Sept 1933 and details the spring dimensions!

Good job! My machine does not have any paper tag, unfortunately. Did you see the spring in the spindle cap?

Re: Odeon System Vadesz Bauhaus Gramophone
Thanks to your forewarning I was ready for it.
I have got the csae apart and removed the arm which is held in a substanshall bearing assembly by two grub screws.
The bearing is not running smoothly though so next to figure out how to dismantle it. I will upload some pictures shortly.

Nice work! Maybe it only requires cleaning and oiling.

Yes a good clean , a light flattening to the top plate, regrese and reassemble. All good now.
I have discovered there is a hole in the side of the bottom case adjacent to the arm mount. This allows access to the grub screws holding the arm.-

Re: Odeon System Vadesz Bauhaus Gramophone
Quite interesting post!
Do you know what the original reproducer on the Bauhaus machines was?
On the Odeon model, I saw a no name reproducer imported from Germany and on the Parlophone version it’s a limit FM reproducer made in England (in pot metal but in good condition)...
Thanks for your help.

It is an Odeon 5302 which is similar to the Columbia reproducer. They souunded nice but were prone to the Pot metal failures though.

Re: Odeon System Vadesz Bauhaus Gramophone
Lindstrom (makers of Odeon and Parlophone) was aquired by Columbia (UK) in 1926 so the Odeon reproducer design would appear is based on the Columbia item.
However it does not appear to utilise any Columbia parts.
