Replicating hand cranked gramophone
Trying to create a replica of the hand cranked gramophone. Here is the first prototype . The horn is in the making. I will add more photos when it is finished. Meanwhile your comments are welcome. Cheers

Looks very good. How do you drive the turntable?

Thanks for your appreciation.
A shaft attached to the second wheel is connected to a worm on whose top rests the turn table. It easily makes 78 RPM.

I have borrowed the idea from the Berliner’s drawing attached for reference here. Thanks

Well, someone has AC TIG ! Nice welds. (I am assuming that is aluminium and not stainless steel.)

I was impressed. The parts look very professional. Did you make them yourself?

Thanks for your appreciation. I designed it, did the drawings, and assigned the execution to an expert machinist and wielder.jamiegramo wrote: ↑Fri Apr 12, 2024 11:06 am I was impressed. The parts look very professional. Did you make them yourself?
