Just found a weird thing on Ebay described as an Edison Amberola Cylinder Phonograph Part, but it ain't. Anybody got any idea what it really is?

My first thought was the guts of a blender, and the blade is missing. I wonder how the seller decided this was an Edison part anyway? It doesn't seem to have any markings one way or the other...
