I noticed the buy it now price was lowered $50 to $900. The finish is dark and the decal is so so. Would others refinish or leave as is. It's a tweener to me.

Jerry

The bed plate, horn, and upper works look like they would clean up nicely with a little elbow grease but the cabinet and lid are well past the point of no return. I would vote for a refinished cabinet and new decal.

Not a high end machine but cleaned up they play cylinders very well and would look nice in any ones parlor.

I am probably in the minority. I like the machines that show a little wear. I love the "been there" look.

I like your answer. For my collection I like machines with the "been there with care" looks. So I can be described as a "condition" collector. There is no right or wrong answer in regards to simply cleaning a machine or a more aggressive refinishing. It's a personal decision.

Happy collecting, Jerry B.
