Out of curiosity, how does the HMV 113a sound relative to the HMV 102?

I think that there may be a number under the turntable which would be nice to see if you would like to take a photo of it.

That is very kind of you. I really like to see these as it helps me imagine and dream about a gramophone's history etc. 105 miles each way - too far for me to travel normally unless there is something really special - like your new gramophone is !Phono48 wrote:Will do, when I get it home. Nice machine and not too bad on price considering it's a Indian 130 in disguise.
I have a beautiful 112, 113 and 114. The 113 should not be compared to a 102 on any day!
I have just bought what might be a one off special Indian machine based on the 130 / 113. It's an uncatalogued machine from the same time but has oil bath motor and inlaid Art Deco cabinet

That 113 has satin nickel finish so that's worth a few more quid too.
