A lot of money for a worn record ? Or is so rare that it is worth £310 ?

The reference to the singer having written a book makes me fairly sure that the careless description referred in fact to a record of Sergei Levik.

His records aren't common, and the memoirs make him historically interesting, so perhaps someone was prepared to pay a hefty price for a memento of a literary figure.
