Strange coincidence. Now there is a reproducer Opera horn on eBay. That may help the person who bought the machine.

I don't think it was canceled. If I remember correctly it had a buy not price of $900. And that is what the listing shows it sold for.

The trademark decal has been replaced and the gilt decorations have been touched up in places. :)

It looks to me that the bed-plate and gear covers were rubbed down taking all of the gilt off and then the gilt was replaced by a very bad flat gold paint.

Steve, you may be right. I thought the gilt looked better in some places than others, so gave the benefit of the doubt that some of it was original! :)
