Yikes indeed.
Strange it is that they employed Master Yoda to description of product write.
Is that an LP on the platter?

It is indeed an LP! The machine itself is the bottom half of a Columbia 201 portable, and they've screwed the back of the original soundbox to the Orthophonic. The point has been discussed before, but is this seller trying it on, or does he genuinely think its "right"? Hmm......

I particularly like the self tapping screw forced into the needle chuck .

Re: And just when I think I've seen everything!
Darn! I wanted to hear what it would sound like with the LP he had on the turntable in the ebay add.
Actually, though, it satisfied my curiosity as to what a Viva Tonal portable would sound like with a Victor Orthophonic sound box. Pretty good, all things considered. (I'm sure the Elvis 78 is toast by now.)
