Seller says: "minty"
English translation "recently cleaned with Scope mouthwash"

Yuck, that yellow Brunswick is especially nauseating. Fortunately, the seller is violating Craigslist's terms of usage, by soliciting bids, and not stating a set price, so I was able to click on the "flag" button. ( http://www.craigslist.org/about/help/faq ) Unfortunately, it takes dozens of flags to take down an ad.

Overpainting wooden furniture is known in the UK antiques trade as "shabby chic".

In my opinion this practice is not chic, just shabby.

There was a time when no one wanted the upright floor model Victrolas,Brunswicks ,Grafonolas, ect. machines My friend Arthur Par'e can remember when you could get those for a few bucks back in the 1940's,'50's and into the '60's.They'd be turned into liquor cabinets, and (horror of horrors)painted like these!edisonplayer

Makes me want to buy a liquor cabinet and turn it into a phonograph just to get even.
