I've seen really nice cabinets like this at Union in the $3500 range but don't know if they sold. It will be interesting to see the final price for this one. Jerry

All I can say is AWESOME  !
12 inch storage on one side and 10 inch on the other side a beautiful thing that my wife would allow in the great room

The same type Salter cabinet only in oak sold at Stanton's last November auction for $4500 not including the 10% buyer premium. Any type of wood would be desirable in the case of this cabinet. But I don't know if mahogany would be more desirable over oak or the other way around. Personally I'd be happy with either.

Best Regards, Larry

Considering that most top of the line machines were mahogany, I suspect the mahogany record cabinet to be more common than the same thing in oak. Wouldn't a fancy case Vic D look great on the oak cabinet? Jerry

It had 21 bids and sold for $2370 with no activity in the last few minutes. I thought it would go for more. Jerry Blais
