Lincoln's Speech at Gettysburg Record Slip #8154

Post by CDBPDX »

Just posted to eBay an auction offering an original Edison record slip for an Edison Gold Molded Cylinder, #8154 - Lincoln's Speech at Gettysburg by Len Spencer. This slip was from a NOS wrapping for the cylinder. Unfortunately, the cylinder was smashed to pieces, but this was still in good condition. Apparently, you were supposed to cut out the label from this slip and paste it to the top of a cylinder box. I didn't know it worked that way, but it would help to explain why so many of those old cylinder boxes are missing their top labels.

Good luck! Cliff
