Graphophone storage box on EBAY

Post by fmblizz »

Seller only shows one end of the box. Appears to be either a Model "C" or Model "CS"

Done well though.. what are members opinions??

Small decal....

Most likely from a second style C.

Interesting, but makes me a bit sad.

Looks like the buyer backed out after winning. Box now relisted.

I agree it looks like the cabinet from a model C.

Any opinions on if this was built as a phonograph cabinet or a conversion after the fact. Either way it was "re-purposed" a long time ago.

Interesting that it was relisted. I was going to bid but missed the closing date and lost out last time.

The conversion looks to me to be home-made (screws showing on the top, etc.). Done a very long time ago, though, during the era when old phonographs were just viewed as old junk that might be repurposed for something else rather than the objects we treasure today.

I bid on this both times. Interesting case, for sure, it would look great with my polished Eagle on top of it, and some artifact in the drawers! 8-)

Or maybe even down the line...hey, ya never know.
