I received the new diamond for this DD
reproducer yesterday. Got it all put back
together with new gaskets. Played the machine
for hours, and it sounds loud and clear, and
does not mark the records.

Since it is oak, it is a no brainer. Mahogany is common, but oak is more desirable and makes it worth twice the price...

Curt, you are right. It was a no-brainer.
It took me many, many years of looking
to finally find this very nice combination
of looks, overall decent condition, and
all at a price which I considered to be a
fair one.

I have seen all ranges of DD machines from
cabinet in poor shape, to nearly mint ones
for mint dollars too.

This one hits the mark as far as about the
best of all worlds, and it was not easy.
I was extremely picky about hunting one
of these, and this is why it took so many
years.

Others have commented to me that these are
common as dirt. Maybe so.

But, I passed on all of them for 30+ years
until last week. It was worth the wait.
