Oklahoma Auction - Great machines

Post by rgordon939 »

If anyone is near Oklahoma you should check out the auction. There are some amazing machines, Duplex, Columbia, Edison, Victor, looks like a real early Triumph. Here is the link. Let me know what you see in the pictures.

The Standard appears to have a Polyphone attachment!

No, that machine is a business dictation machine. A Polyphone attachment.....the reproducer's are vertically in line with each other.

Wrong cranks...mismatched other components. Auction house "unsure" on a lot of questions. Sounds sketchy to me.

Looks like the Duplex is missing its reproducer ?

I think that Edison has the "spectacle-device" to switch quickly between recording and play-back...

Yes your right, it does have the spectacle device. It is a 1905 Model-D Business machine. I think they are a beautiful machine to display they run on either AC or DC. Here are a couple pictures of mine that is complete and runs great.
