Saw both of these yesterday on Craigslist.
One posted yesterday, one the previous day.
I was hoping that every collector on the east coast is away at the Union Show.
I should've found them sooner, but I've been grading final exams non-stop.
Lesson learned-Be less responsible and spend more time hunting phonographs.
Both already gone!
I hope they went to forum members.

WOW! What incredible prices! I can see why they disappeared as quickly.
Better luck next time, I'll keep my eyes open. With my ongoing research on the Chippendales, I come across additional machines that don't fit my criteria.
Best,
Fran
P.S. I don't teach, but my eldest son does, God bless you this time of year!

There's one out there with your name on it...
After-all, you've been a member of the "Edison Spring-motor Club" - you must have GOOD Karma...

Meanwhile, Back in Vermont, that 130 is still looking for love, unless it's been sold and the seller hasn't taken the ad down.

Is a 130 really that much less desirable than a XVII?

I grabbed a copy of one of the pics from the ad in Cold Spring, NY before it disappeared (see below). This one was $200. The other ad had already been taken down by the time I looked for it, so I don't know what the price was on that.

$200. Wow, just wow. I paid twice that for a refinished one.

The other XVII was in Harrisburg, PA.
It looked like a really nicely cared for red mahogany machine at $350.
