Has anyone tried this gadget to reduce the reproducer weight on orthophonic Victrolas?

Mm-m-m. Don't know what seller means by "plays 45s too" (although suspect ignorance), but the Fats Domino and Penguin records seem to be late 78 rpm vinyls: if he played 'em, they're ruined.

This might be good for playing your 78s if it reduces wear on the record, but unlike a vertical disc, 78s are lateral. The reproducer still has to vibrate from side to side!
