Is it real?

Post by ts_13 »

Here is one at a local estate... Looks wrong, at least low grade. Thoughts?

Yes that is totally a Frankenphono, BUT if it's a decent price, then there are some good parts to be had from it. You could use them or sell them. I see an Orthophonic reproducer, a gold Orthophonic tonearm, a crank, speed control, escutcheon, etc.

Also, the horn looks like it might be real? I can't tell as the picture isn't too clear. Also, the back bracket could be something real, but it's hard to tell from the picture. I would check it out if I were a tad bit closer! ;)

I don't know guys, it looks like a very nice gas barbeque to me.

The phono might be good for parts. Orthophonic reproducer may be o.k. I wouldn't spend more than $49.95 for it though.
