EMG Wilson Horn at auction 16th September Cambridge UK

This is an extremely rare find: an original Percy Wilson papier-mache horn from 1927, on its own!!!!
The horn is the correct 4' long x 2' diameter type suitable for early "Wilson Horn Model" and EMG Mark 8 machines. If your machine is missing an original horn you won't get another opportunity to find another one any day soon!

That's a far easier task than finding a horn, trust me! Large and unwieldy horns like this tend to get 'lost' over time when houses get cleared out, whereas the table top bases tend to survive as "the old record player" in the attic, that granddad used to play.

It looks as though this from one of the later Mk VIIIs as it has the deeper spigot and (although hard to tell for sure from the photo) appears to be the later angle, i.e. canted a little further up from the horizontal than the earliest Wilson horns.
