That's an L19, and technically a Jacobean style cabinet... I used to have one several years ago... and it does appear refinished, I believe these were only offered in a dark, cloudy fumed or weathered finish. And that bidding seems a bit nuts.

The L-19 is referred to as "Louis XIV" in the Frow reference book. The book indicates the early machines were walnut finished in French grey and then later in varnished walnut. I'm not sure how dark either of those are supposed to be.

The seller is well known, and he states that it has been refinished. I personally would not think he's being deceptive. :?
