H.M.S.Duncan, the 4th Royal Navy ship to bear the name, was launched in 1901. She saw action during WW1 against German installations on the Belgian coast and was sold in 1920. The current and 7th H.M.S.Duncan was launched in 2010 and is mainly deployed on NATO duties.
