Pink suitcase portable

Post by burke »

Hi there,

This is on kijiji in Nova Scotia [Canadian version of Craigslist].

I am somewhat tempted. I would mind having a little late model portable to work on, but I suspect this maybe a really bad machine. ... but maybe not.

I have asked for the owner to send better pictures of the soundbox, one without a record on the patter and of course the brand name.

He hasn't got back to me yet. Thoughts? If maybe a worthwhile project what should I offer ... I suspect $75 [even in Canadian] is too high.

Thanks

These Paillard portables are definitely red not pink, I had one once. Not the best machine to begin with, and this one is pretty rough. In good shape they are worth $300-$400.

Thank you for the information HisMastersVoice!

I now can do a bit more research and it seems it may not be an outrageous price after all.

I guess time has pinkened the redness .

Do you think I should edit the post title?

FYI

I bought it and it most assuredly red. It was the dust and lighting.

I will post some pictures and ask a question or two once I begin to work on it in the "British and European Machine section.
