Platt Music portable phono - info?

Found on Craigslist. Platt Music portable phonograph. Can't find any additional info on this, model, year ??

Generic portable, probably made with imported parts in an American case. I've dealt with similar ones & the arm is stamped metal, usually steel. The soundbox might be pot metal but if is isn't cracked it is rebuildable- that sort everyrhing comes out the front side & the tubing holds in the mica, if it is cracked the arm usually has a standard bayonet slot so many will fit it. If the bent rod crank is properly threaded you might be able to get a knob onto it, the original would have also been a bent rod. I agree though, $100 is a bit stiff for something with that rough a case.Phonofreak wrote:I think it is a little high for an off-brand portable. It's a project machine.
