This key is on Ebay (item no: 273035588356) Anyone know anything about it ? Why does it split in two ? Is it anything to do with phonographs ?

The cut of the teeth doesn't look like a phonograph key I've ever seen. As to why it is split into 2 pieces, who knows? Maybe it snapped in half and this was the repair they came up with.
