OK, I'll bite: I use it all the time with no problems. More than half the machines in my home came from Craigslist. Many others I've sold also came to me that way.

More and more police departments are setting up "internet sale zones". A buyer and seller meet at a designated area right next to the police station. Reduces the risk to near zero for all parties. I haven't had to do that yet, but I'd certainly be willing.
