We all need it. But none of us have that many local friends/family who would be medically or psychologically fit enough to stand and subject themselves as a group to two minutes of that sort of torture.

Wouldn't that be fun... grouped around the cylinder machine with a bunch of friends/family who don't get this hobby anyway...

The cluster of novitiates would be a bonus. Pick a sappy heart song, or a minstrel record, or any of the racist stuff of the day, and fisticuffs could result.

I was also referring to folks like us, who would already know what they were getting themselves into. Dunno 'bout you, but I find eartube listening pretty excruciating.

I definitely prefer my AirPods...
