Cabinet gramophones, unless of the HMV Re-Entrant variety, are seriously undervalued in the UK.
This c1925 Columbia Console Model 62a, superb in mahogany with gold plated fittings and a triple spring motor, can be bought for the price of a very ordinary portable. A bargain for anyone with the space to accommodate it. The supplying dealers were the prestigious Tudor Galleries of Manchester.

The lowboy or console machines are not overly appreciated on this side of the pond either. that is a beautiful machine and if it was local, it would have a home. That is a great wood set.
