This is not my disc, I already have a copy. However, this is take "C" and I have take "B". If someone here wins the auction then hopefully they'll consider allowing me to copy this one as well.

Re: "Charleston" on Diamond Disc
Edison tended to record three takes of each tune, usually "A" (take 1), "B" (take 2) and "C" (take 3). Most of the time, all three takes were issued during a disc's catalog life and there are folks that like comparing all three for differences. Sometimes they're very obvious and other times, you really won't notice the differences. It's fun to compare the differences when I find different takes on DDs. In this case, I've only heard the "B" take from Don's disc, so who knows with this one. There are other DDs where as many as six takes were done, often at different dates as well, sometimes even years apart.

Re: "Charleston" on Diamond Disc
The take info is usually easily visible in the runout area of the disc just outside of the label area. You'll see the matrix number followed by a dash "-" and the letter (take).
Hope this helps!

Re: "Charleston" on Diamond Disc
They typically sell for between $350 and $500, so $365 isn't a bad price.
