Hi-
Sorry I can’t figure out how to send a direct link, but there is a seller on eBay offering a spring device which acts like a counterweight on auoustic reproducers.
Does anyone have pros or cons about adding such a device to an Orthophonic Victrola?

I stumbled on it too and posted a query. Here is the post and the replies.

I decided personally - it may work, it may not, can't be bothered, but still interesting. :)

Here is the beautifully simple weight adjuster on my Micro-Perophone Chromogram. No need for springs.

If there was a like button in the forum I would definitely "like' this! It looks to me like the simple counterweight adjustment found on turntables from my youth... on all of them I think.

And if you had an abused record who else remembers putting a dime or a nickle on the stylus to make your DOOBIE BROTHERS album play though it?
