Re: Is this a Franken?
150$ is max what I would pay for a Swiss/German machine in this condition if I could pick it up locally and inspect there are no nasty surprise issues hidden inside the cabinet. It is usually bad news if the machine looks like it has been cobbled together by some phonograph enthusiast...

Re: Is this a Franken? (posted in fakes as well)
After looking at the numerous pics on the link, I believe that this is an authentic machine... If it was closer to me, I believe that I would go for it.

Yes it does gave a label You can just make out the £ signts_13 wrote:This is the description.
"Unit does not have a label, but the sound box is labeled "Parlophon." Purchased from the estate of a man who restored these beauties, so it is not certain if the entire unit is a Parlophon brand player or has some Parlophon replacement parts"
Maestro2009 - great that you could locate the picture in a catalog, thanks!

almost. From catalog Parlophon 1909Jaso wrote:To me this looks like a legitimate machine with a wrong size horn and a later soundbox. I had a very similar octagonal Parlophon Luxophon. It also had very odd proportions with a huge cabinet and a small 10” turntable, but was a genuine machine. This is a picture of identical machine to mine.
