This top of the range Decca 130 was built to the order of bandleader Jack Hylton in the colours of Fulham Football Club, to whom he presented it in 1932.
It was once part of the Roger Thorne collection, and after his death it was sold by auction for £230 in 2011.
Why anyone would want to watch grown men chasing a ball around a field is beyond my imagination, but this is one interesting gramophone.

Someone with more interest in football than me did a little research and discovered that the "League Championship" which Fulham won was only Division 3 South, whatever that was.
