This is an HMV, not a Victor. Hopefully one of our UK friends can tell us a bit more about model, year, etc.

Looks like an HMV 101 to me...just like mine.

Edit: on 2nd thought, it's not just like mine. Mine has crank storage behind the turntable before the tonearm mount, and came with a No.4 sound box.

Check Grahamophones link , they were actually made from 1928 onwards and you could still buy them in 1962 !
if you look at the gramophone on these pages you will see that the missing item from the holes is a "stop" this is to locate the record storage tray and a wood screw

Do the little "Stop" rounded pegs easily go missing? My 102 has holes where they ought to be.
