Here's one you don't see every day -- an off-brand console with an electric motor and a swing-out turntable that seems to disconnect the tone arm from the horn when open and reconnect it with a felt gasket when closed. Horn looks like it may be spruce? Really odd, and quite attractive. Certainly cheap enough at forty-five bucks to make it worth the effort to restore. (Not mine.)

If you have the space, that is certainly an interesting machine AND the price is right... It is one of the most attractive console machines I have seen.

That's nearly identical to one I had given to me by a friend several years ago. I could not discover the manufacturer's identity.
http://forum.talkingmachine.info/viewto ... =2&t=16305 The cabinet on mine was too damaged for me to take on, so I ended up giving it away to a local flea market guy.
Best,
Fran

It does kinda look like a Fletcher tonearm.

A Colonial Revival piece in the manner of a William & Mary lowboy. For those interested, just Google images for William and Mary lowboy and you shall see the originals this was based on.

Interesting. Not very well designed, but interesting.
