2,690 Euros=$3,100 USD
Ultraphon Gramophone, c. 1925
Manufactured by Deutsche Ultraphon Gesellschaft, double horn gramophone with 2 soundboxes, clockwork motor drive, automatic stop function, round wooden case (absolutly original), working. The gramophone creates a "spatial" sound effect by playing on two pick-ups simultaneously.

The gramophone named "Ultraphon" was first presented to the world public by H. J. Küchenmeister in autumn 1925 at the Berlin Hotel Esplanade.

This gramophone uses two complete tone arms with membranes and needles instead of one, each ending in a funnel, one offset from the other by 90 degrees. The needle associated with the one funnel is located exactly 8.4 cm in front of the needle of the second funnel. By simultaneously playing (both needle run in the same groove in a row) creates an artificial time difference by about 1/100 second. The listener thus gets the impression of a kind of spatial effect.

Interesting concept, but consider the tracking error and double record wear! :)
Thanks for posting!

This concept was anticipated by the 1898-1902 Polyphone Attachment for Phonographs and Graphophones. Pretty interesting!
