Missed out on this cabinet, it was already sold. It is Mahogany and I am curious as to which machine this would fit?
Doesn't have the style for a Victor IV, Victor V's with square columns are Oak.
Was it made for a Columbia?

It could possibly fit a Victrola VI or maybe a Victrola IV. Not exactly a stylistic match though.

A Vic III would look nice on it. Oak with fluted columns.

I thought it looked like it would go with a Victor III style wise.
But if you look at the needle holder the original finish was much darker.
Originally it would have been the typical red Mahogany finish. I don't think I've
ever heard of a Mahogany Victor III

I agree but I do own a "mahoganized" Victor III that I purchased at the Orlando sale a couple of years ago. I have no proof but I believe it was professionally colored back when it was being used by its early owners.I don't think I've
ever heard of a Mahogany Victor III

Considering that the baskets are European, it may be a cabinet for a machine like this HMV Senior Monarch Gramophone.

It is a beautiful cabinet and if I had it, I would find something somewhere to put on it.

Good eye! I bet that explains it. It is clearly a phonograph cabinet but does not look like any I have seen.Zwebie wrote:Considering that the baskets are European, it may be a cabinet for a machine like this HMV Senior Monarch Gramophone.
